One of the finest exhibitions of Impressionist art ever held in Australia is coming to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This is a rare chance to see some of the world’s most famous and most loved paintings, including Monet’s Water lilies and Haystacks. From October 11 we have Monet and the Impressionists.

I've been invited by two separate friends to consider trips to Spain/Portugal and Germany this December; and I am also hoping to visit Italy and Switzerland for work next year. I have been doing some preliminary planning - but I really need to find some time to sit down and do a little more work to see if it is doable.

Australian Painters Photographed is on at the State Library of NSW and consists of 61 large colour photographic studies of the artists in their studios by National Geographic photographer R Ian Lloyd accompanied with text by John McDonald, art critic for The Sydney Morning Herald and former Head of Australian Art at the National Gallery of Australia.
