back at changi

Up early this morning to grab some breakfast in the Club Lounge at the Intercontinental before spending most of the day trying to get myself a little bit organised and relaxing before the next leg of the trip. I had arranged a extra extra late checkout so I didn't need to leave the hotel until it was time to go and check-in for my Qantas flight. So I did journal entries, sorted out some freelance and then grabbed some lunch as Mos Burger.

When it was time to head off I took a taxi to Changi and was soon checked in with Qantas all the way through. The plan was to see if I could use up the remainder of my SGD finding a sleeve for the iPhone 3GS which I am planning to upgrade to when I get back to Sydney, but there was no real range to choose from at the airport.

So I went and hung out in the Qantas Club and waited until QF31 arrived fom Sydney - about an hour late - and my colleague joined me until it was time to head off. We joined the plane - this time the scheduled A380 and while I had said the plan would be to stay awake as long as possible to try and get 8hrs sleep before arriving in London at 6am I was soon tired.

Probably just as well that that strategy didn't work anyway because they had us awake at 4am to eat breakfast. So on the flight I watched New in Town and Closed for Winter. Interesting enough.
